Welcome to Heirloom Orpingtons, owned by two Brits - Holly and Jonathan. We are a small-scale poultry farm located in central Florida, where we focus on breeding quality birds. Our main focus is imported English Orpingtons, which we currently offer in fifteen different colors, not including any projects we are currently working on. Along with the Orpingtons, we also breed Wyandottes, Legbars, Ameraucanas, Polish and Silkies.

Why Orpingtons? Being English ourselves, we love large, fluffy chickens! They are extremely beautiful birds who have a lot of personality as well as being incredibly docile. Our other breeds have attracted us for other reasons; anything from a beautiful coloration (Blue Laced Red Wyandottes) to being incredibly interesting looking (frizzled Polish).

As of summer 2014, we are no longer selling any hatching eggs on a regular basis. No matter how well we pack eggs, we cannot guarantee how USPS handles the box and there are too many variables we cannot control. We still continue to offer chicks and juveniles on a regular basis; please see the appropriate pages to see what we have available at this time.

The galleries can now be found on the individual breed pages, not in a separate gallery page. We are working on adding a photo of every single bird that we breed from onto these pages, but it will take time as we have approximately 100-150 breeder birds at any one time.

As of January 1st 2015, we will be vaccinating all chicks for the following diseases: Marek's, Newcastle, Fowl Pox, Coryza. If you do not wish to have your chicks vaccinated against any/all of these diseases, please contact us after placing your order.

If you are interested in any of our stock for 4H, please contact us before purchasing as only some of our breeds and varieties are APA recognised.

Due to our recent move from TN to FL, we are currently waiting to be NPIP tested in Florida. We expect this to happen before the end of September. We will not be shipping any eggs or birds until we are re-certified as NPIP in Florida.

Last Update: September 1, 2014
We have updated our website with our 2015 prices, chick packages and some new colors added to our flock.
